The Zaugg Pipe Designer Inline is the original Zaugg pipe groomer. Available in an 8 foot and a 13 foot elliptical shape, the PDI is ideal for building smaller beginner pipes. The small PDI is also a good machine for operators to learn with; Zaugg featured the PDI at Cutters Camp at Mt. Hood since 2004 as the training machine. The Zaugg pipe groomer's success begins with its supreme engineering; the Zaugg machine is simple to maintain and rarely has problems. Snow can be thrown to any part of the pipe instead of building up at the bottom. The PDI is light enough to attach to the front of most standard snow cat groomers, and mounting or un-mounting takes about 15 minutes, so the cat can still be part of the grooming fleet. The Zaugg groomer has an elliptical shape rather than radial, so the riders have a smooth landing and can gain speed easier in the pipe.
